تشغل القسم الشرقي من أمريكا الجنوبية، وتعتبر خامسة دول العالم مساحة، وتسيطر على نصف القارة تقريباً، وتشترك حدودها مع كل دول أمريكا الجنوبية تقريباً ماعدا تشيلي والأكوادور، وتشرف من الشرق والشمال الشرقي على المحيط الأطلنطي الأرضتتكون أرض البرازيل من هضبة تشكل الذراع البرازيلي، وتغطي حوالي 60% من جملة مساحة البرازيل، وتشغل النطاق الشرقي والجنوبي من البلاد، والقسم الثاني من البرازيل عبارة عن سهول ساحلية في الشرق والشمال، وثالث الأقسام التضاريسية حوض نهر الأمازون، ويشغل حيزاً كبيراً من أرض البرازيل، والأمازون أكبر أنهار أمريكا الجنوبية طولا، وأول أنهار العالم ماء،ويشغلحوضه ثلث مساحة البلاد

Geographical location
